Finance Manager - Spirits FP&A

27 May 2026

Sydney, NSW, AU

About Us
At Lion, we’re all about creating memorable moments that bring people together. With a portfolio of iconic brands and a strong focus on innovation, sustainability and community, we’re proud to be at the heart of good times across Australia and New Zealand.

Our Spirits business is entrepreneurial, fast-paced and growing quickly - giving our people the opportunity to work across a broad range of commercial and finance activities while making a real impact.

The Role
We’re looking for a Finance Manager to join our team at York Street in Sydney on a fixed term contract through to January 2027. Reporting to the FP&A Director, you’ll play a key role in driving financial planning, reporting and commercial insight across our Spirits business.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety, thrives in evolving environments and wants exposure across a full P&L in a lean and highly collaborative team.

  • Drive month-end reporting processes, including consolidated P&L and balance sheet reporting across the Spirits business
  • Deliver forecasting, AOP and long-range planning activities, including support for a 10-year strategic model
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to provide commercial insight, challenge performance and support decision making
  • Coordinate reporting and variance analysis to identify risks, opportunities and actions that support the path to profitability
  • Improve financial processes, reporting automation and data visibility across the business
  • Support executive reporting requirements including MBR preparation and ad hoc commercial analysis
  • Review reconciliations and provide guidance across reporting activities within the team

This is a unique opportunity where you will gain broad exposure, influence outcomes and help shape the future of Finance in this portfolio.

About You
You’re commercially minded, adaptable and confident working in environments where not every process is fully established yet. You enjoy building relationships, solving problems and bringing clarity to complexity.

  • 7+ years’ experience across FP&A, commercial finance or broader finance environments
  • CA or CPA qualification
  • Strong understanding of P&L and balance sheet reporting fundamentals
  • Experience working in fast-paced or evolving businesses, with FMCG experience viewed favourably
  • The ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritise effectively and operate with autonomy
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the confidence to influence and challenge constructively
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and smarter ways of working
