Cafe Manager

Hola! The Havana team have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Café Manager to join the team, based at our Wellington HQ.  

As the Café Manager, you are responsible for delivering an outstanding customer experience, ensuring the highest coffee quality, and maintaining smooth café operations. You will oversee the entire espresso bar, rosters, food safety protocols, opening and closing procedures, operating expenses, supplier relationships, and ordering. Your focus is on creating an exceptional coffee experience while managing Havana’s Espresso bar with the emphasis being on ‘Hospitality’ 

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a warm and welcoming café atmosphere.
• Manage daily café operations, including identifying and driving improvements
• Monitor sales performance and manage operating expenses, along with report financials to management.
• Complete monthly costings, tracking income, expenses, and waste.
• Foster a collaborative and motivated team environment. 

We're looking for someone who has:

• Proven experience as a Café Manager with a high level of coffee knowledge.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and compliance.
• Ability to lead and drive performance.
• Ability to manage suppliers, ordering, and stock control.
• Financial acumen for cost management and reporting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and compliance, with a certificate in Food Safety
