Your day in the life of a Lion Senior Brand Manager for Vanguard Spirits
In July 2023, Lion created a stand-alone spirits division which combines Australia’s best gin business Four Pillars Gin, and Australia’s leading importer, marketer, and distributor of premium spirits - Vanguard Luxury Brands!
The team is growing with the addition of more iconic brands, and we are recruiting a Senior Brand Manager for Dark spirits to drive the long-term strategic development, end-to-end execution and performance of our Dark Spirits portfolio
Based in Lions, Sydney HQ office you will report to the Marketing Manager for Vanguard and lead and mentor a team of two.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and build a best- practice marketing function
- Set the Vision: Lead and manage the brand strategy and positioning for Vanguard Dark spirits
- Make It Happen: Build and execute integrated brand plans—from national campaigns to local activations.
- Lead with Insights: Use consumer research, market data, and trends to fuel decision-making and identify growth opportunities.
- Drive Engagement: Work with sales and category teams to deliver compelling customer pitches, category reviews, and innovation strategies.
- Deliver Results: Track brand and commercial performance and translate numbers into action.
To be successful you will bring
- Proven brand marketing experience. Experience and passion in managing brands, brand strategy and planning, creative/business briefs, agency management, communications and innovation. Preferably from beverage background experience
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing market trends, consumer behavior, and performance metrics to inform strategic insight driven decisions.
- Strong commercial & business acumen. You will be commercially focused and understand how to drive business outcomes for your brands including delivering on commercial KPI’s and budget management
- A great communicator & influencer, with the ability to effectively manage a variety of key stakeholders
- Proven experience leading and mentoring a high performing team and instilling a growth mindset culture
