As part of the new team, we are looking for a Regional Market Manager – Oceania to take charge of Lion-owned wine sales across Australia and New Zealand as well as multi-category Lion exports to the Pacific Islands, steering the region’s performance with confidence and ambition. In this pivotal role, you’ll drive growth through strong commercial leadership, foster lasting partnerships with both our internal Sales and Marketing teams in New Zealand, as well as Australia importers and distributors.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Owning the P&L and delivering against budget and forecast targets.
  • Management of the RTM & business strategy for Lion-owned wine brands and exports in the region, including key market depletions and shipments targets.
  • Ongoing monitoring, analysis and reporting of marketplace performance to both internal and external stakeholders whilst developing commercial opportunities through these insights to accelerate growth and ensure delivery of annual targets.
  • Support the Lion Wine brand team in execution of AU & NZ market plans, aligned to the global brand strategy.
  • Own the process of ongoing regional pricing and profitability reviews and recommendations back to the business on a semi-annual basis.

 

We are looking for someone with:

 

  • International account management with a proven track record of driving high-growth results, including national accounts in AU.
  • Proven wine business development, growth and leadership skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen with exceptional negotiation and partnership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a high performing, remotely located team.
  • Strategic, growth-focused leader driven by continuous improvement and performance.
  • Experience collaborating with internal cross-functional stakeholders and working in large, complex organisations.
  • Tertiary Education in Business Management or related area.
  • Knowledge of FMCG and/or Wine Industry advantageous.
