Procurement Category Manager - Ingredients

We’re on the hunt for a Procurement Category Manager – Ingredients to take the lead on one of our most strategically significant portfolios. You’ll be managing the essential ingredients for our iconic beverages, including Barley, Malt, Hops and Sugar. These ingredients not only define our products, but also our success.

Working in a high-performing team of 19 procurement professionals, you’ll be driving one of Lion’s largest category budgets, influencing decisions that impact our business globally.

This is a Permanent Full Time position, based in our Sydney CBD York Street office.

What you’ll do:

• Develop and deliver a strategic, forward-thinking procurement strategy for our Ingredients category – balancing short-term results with long-term sustainability and innovation.
• Drive value creation across the business by ensuring security of supply, competitive advantage, and environmental responsibility.

• Build strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers to enhance business partnering and supplier connectivity.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Ingredients category.
• Manage an assigned portfolio of categories, addressing projects and issues in consultation with key stakeholders.
• Oversee the category spending, ensuring alignment with customer needs.

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years of procurement experience with exposure to the ingredients category, ideally within FMCG or manufacturing.
• Strong strategic and commercial mindset — you can think globally and make decisions that influence the bigger picture.
• Solid background in strategic sourcing, contract development, supplier management, and procurement reporting.
• A passion for sustainability, innovation, and finding better ways of doing things.
