Power BI Developer

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Power BI Developer to join the Commercial Reporting team within our Sales department. The role is permanent, based at our Sydney CBD office with hybrid working arrangements available. 

Role purpose:
The purpose of this role is to support the Sales team by building and maintaining practical and visually appealing Power BI reports and dashboards to help track sales performance and generate insights. 

You will have an in-depth understanding of business processes and functional capabilities and be someone that demonstrates commercial awareness and has the confidence to take the initiative to truly understand what their stakeholders want.

What skills you’ll need to be successful in the role:

• Technical expertise in Power BI design, visualisation of data, and delivery of reporting outcomes
• Strong data modelling capability
• Expertise in Power BI Dataflow
• Strong knowledge of Power Query and DAX (SQL knowledge would be an advantage)
• Development lifecycle management knowledge
• Project and change management skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify the complex and get your point across in a succinct manner.
• Inquisitive nature with an appetite to get to the root cause of issues
• High attention to detail, taking pride in your work
• The confidence to ask questions and voice recommendations

What experience would be beneficial:

• 3+ years’ experience working with Power BI building dashboards and reports from scratch
• Experience working within the fast-moving consider goods industry would be an advantage
• Partnering stakeholders at all levels who have multiple and, at times, conflicting needs
• Proven ability to own and deliver successful outcomes through ambiguity and change
• Develops data models and user experiences to support wide adoption of BI solutions, especially Power BI.
