Maintenance Technician - Mechanical

We’re searching for a passionate Mechanical Maintenance Technician (The internal job title is Utilities Engineer) to join our high-performing team in a permanent, full-time role. This is a unique opportunity to be at the hart of our operations, ensuring the smooth running of critical utilities systems that keep our brewery flowing.

 

In this newly created exciting role, you’ll ensure the top-tier performance and reliability of critical utilities infrastructure within the renowned Tooheys Brewery. From boilers to compressors, refrigeration to cogeneration, you’ll be at the forefront of maintaining and improving the systems that keep our brewery flowing smoothly. 

Reporting to the Utilities &Process Services Leader. You will work in a team of 5. Your key responsibilities will be but are not limited to: 

  • Provide expert operational and maintenance support to our process equipment.

  • Develop cutting-edge technical skills and work alongside production teams to troubleshoot and optimize equipment.

  • Lead sustainability projects that reduce the brewery's energy and water consumption.

  • Manage sophisticated utilities processes while promoting a safety-first culture.

  • Supervise contractors ensuring high standards for equipment maintenance.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • A mechanical trade qualification or equivalent is essential.

  • Refrigeration and Boiler tickets are highly desirable

  • Experience in decision-making in fast-paced, dynamic industrial settings/.

  • Brewing or manufacturing experience is a plus but not essential.

  • A passion for sustainability and process improvement is a big plus!
