Your day in the life of a Lion Innovation Discovery Manager  

This is an outstanding opportunity to identify and shape the next generation of consumer led beer innovation with global leading beverage company, Lion and our iconic portfolio of brands, XXXX, Stone & Wood, Hahn and more.

You will report into the Innovation Discovery Lead and work out of Lion Sydney CBD office and  drive the innovation funnel to create and grow Lion’s beer portfolio. This is a collaborative role across the broader innovation team, marketing, insights, sales and supply team. You will play a key part in Fueling our 3Y beer innovation pipeline with new to Lion ideas.


Innovation strategy: Contribute to the development of opportunity spaces and Masterbrand innovation strategy supporting the beer discovery lead

Pipeline management: Support innovation team to manage, prioritise the pipeline to achieve beer innovation business goals

Product development: Support the beer discovery lead to define insight to validated concept for the beer pipeline. Lead product proposition development (liquid and packaging) on transform beer projects

Project delivery: Support innovation delivery team to ensure insight and product proposition is clear and consistent through innovation commercialization process

 

To be successful you will bring

  • Previous innovation experience. Open to different contexts: brand management, consulting and insights
  • Strong understanding of beer category dynamics, consumer behaviour, and emerging trends
  • Familiarity with innovation frameworks (e.g. DVF, stage-gate, test-and-learn) and consumer-led design thinking
  • Exposure to concept development and testing
  • Experience contributing to or managing an innovation pipeline aligned to brand and business strategy is desirable
  • A curious thinker with big openness to ideas
  • Ability to turn ambiguity into something structured and actionable
