As part of the new team, we are looking for a Head of Oceania to take charge of Lion Wine across Australia and New Zealand as well as multi-category Lion exports to the Pacific Islands, steering the region’s performance with confidence and ambition. In this pivotal role, you’ll drive growth through strong commercial leadership, foster lasting partnerships with our AU & NZ wine importers and distributors, and empower our teams to deliver on bold marketplace goals throughout Oceania.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • P&L management through to NOP, including ownership of annual sales targets and all budgeted expenses for the Oceania region.
  • Development and execution of the Lion AU & NZ RTM & business strategy for the Australia and New Zealand markets, including annual account, depletions and shipments targets.   
  • Management of AU & NZ distributors in the development and execution of their annual sales and trade investment plans for Lion-owned brands.
  • Ongoing monitoring, analyses and reporting of marketplace performance to both internal and external stakeholders whilst developing commercial opportunities through these insights to accelerate growth and ensure delivery of annual targets.
  • Contribute to the Lion Wine Sales and Brand Leadership Team with AU & NZ market insights and NPD opportunities, supporting our Global business goals for both branded and unbranded wine.
  • Support the Lion Wine global brand team in execution of AU & NZ market plans, aligned to the global brand strategy.
  • Lead and develop an Asia-Pacific tactical business plan for Lion’s multi-category offer in the Asia Pacific, supporting the Exports Market Manager in business development and account management.  
  • Own the process of ongoing regional pricing and profitability reviews and recommendations back to the business on a semi-annual basis.

 

We are looking for someone with:

 

  • International account management with a proven track record of driving high-growth results, including national accounts in AU.
  • Proven wine business development, growth and leadership skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen with exceptional negotiation and partnership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a high performing, remotely located team.
  • Strategic, growth-focused leader driven by continuous improvement and performance.
  • Tertiary Education in Business Management or related area.
  • Experience working in large, complex organisations.
  • Knowledge of FMCG and/or Wine Industry advantageous.
