Customer Marketing Activation Executive

Lion, home to Australia’s most iconic Beer and RTD brands such as XXXX, Hahn, Stone & Wood and Kirin Hyoketsu (to name just a few) is looking for a talented Customer Marketing Activation Executive to join our dynamic and supportive Customer Marketing team, reporting into our Shopper Marketing Manager, Claire Bezuidenhout, in the Sydney CBD on an 8-month contract. The role is hybrid, which means you’ll have the flexibility to work from the office and from home.
The purpose of the Activation Executive role is to execute best-in-class shopper activity that creates engagement across the full path to purchase and delivers on Customer Marketing and Brand Strategies. In this role, you will get to deliver innovative and exciting real-world and digital activity, whilst establishing solid partnerships with our customers. This fast-paced role plays a pivotal role interacting with our Sales, Category, Brand and Supply Chain teams, as well as with our external agencies and customers. The role will provide you with great exposure to the broader business, making it an excellent entry point into a rewarding career at Lion.
A day in the life:
- Work collaboratively with a large team to create solutions that deliver against our brand objectives and are mutually beneficial to Lion and our customers.
- Support our Brand and Sales teams by developing and executing promotions and other customer marketing activities, to drive connections, trial and shopper conversion.
- Develop campaign briefs, agency briefings and the production of all brand initiatives for our beer brands, within budget and on time.
- Plan, prepare and support with the delivery of presentations to our Field Sales Teams to sell in upcoming activity.

- A strong understanding of the retail environment and the path to purchase.
- The ability to connect insight, strategy and execution to deliver positive outcomes.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple, diverse initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively with customers and agencies to meet shared objectives.
- Experience in category or shopper/trade/brand marketing roles.
- 2+ years’ experience in shopper marketing, sales, brand marketing or category roles (preferably within the fast-moving consumer goods sector).
