Commercial Analyst

We are looking for a Commercial Analyst to join our Independents Sales Team supporting our Independent Retail Customers. You will play an important role in commercial planning and reporting, analysing business performance and providing insights to enable better decision-making. You will work closely with the Sales team, the Revenue Growth Management (RGM) team and the Finance community, providing an excellent opportunity to develop both your business partnering skills and commercial acumen.

This is a fixed term, full-time, opportunity until January 2027. The role is based in Sydney with the ability to work flexibly from home. 

A day in the life

• Conduct pricing, promotions and other analysis, providing commercial insights to support decision-making
• Deliver quality forecasting, analysis, insight generation and reporting
• Ensure timely, accurate and insightful management of the P&L and Balance Sheet 
• Drive Anaplan forecasting and customer insights
• Support with RGM tasks and insights
• Support deductions and customer mapping requirements
• Stay abreast of marketplace trends and insights.

What you’ll bring

• A high level of motivation and the ability to work autonomously
• Strong data and analytical modelling and system skills
• Experience generating and sharing value-adding insights
• The ability to build strong relationships across a business
• A working knowledge of accounting concepts
• SAP experience (or similar ERP platform) would be an advantage
• Work experience in a fast-paced, commercial environment.
