As the Data & Analytics Technical Platform Owner, you will lead a team focused on expanding and optimizing Lion’s Data & Analytics platform. This role involves overseeing data ingestion, transformation, and provisioning to empower the Insights team. You will support and advance the platform’s capabilities, foster a data-driven culture, and ensure adherence to data governance practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a data engineering team to drive continuous improvement and support business objectives.
  • Design and deploy high-performance data pipelines and architectures to meet business needs and enhance platform scalability.
  • Implement process and infrastructure optimizations to automate tasks, improve scalability, and ensure data integrity.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve technical issues, support data needs, and drive platform innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance standards and maintain secure, well-documented data environments.

 

Required Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong technical expertise in data warehousing, data lakes, ETL processes, and data visualization.
  • Advanced skills in SQL, Python, AWS (Athena, Redshift, Glue), and experience with Power BI and SAP (preferred).
  • Deep understanding of data architecture and modelling best practices for scalability and security.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and design thinking principles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, IT, or a related field.

Experience Requirements:

  • 12+ years in AWS Data Platform and Data Engineering roles.
  • 10+ years in team leadership within data engineering or analytics functions.
  • Proven experience in communication planning and execution for cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders effectively.
