Your day in the life of a Lion Safety Wellbeing Partner  

We’re on the hunt for an experienced Safety Partner to help promote and foster a progressive safety culture across Stone & Wood Murwillumbah brewery, processing and bottling site.

At Lion, we aim to keep everyone safe every day.  As the Safety Partner for Stone & Wood Murwillumbah, you will help to achieve our safety roadmap by working closely with leaders and teams to deliver strategies and initiatives that engage our people and make Lion a safer place to work.

  • Partner with site/functional leaders and teams to ensure effective implementation of risk management, emergency management, incident management and contractor management
  • Ensure robust safety governance through effective implementation of safety systems and processes to keep everyone safe every day.
  • Support the implementation of mental and emotional wellbeing initiatives and programmes.
  • Monitor and report on safety performance and compliance to maintain a comprehensive oversight and ensure countermeasures are put in place as needed.
  • Champion continuous improvement and develop and embed our safety systems

 

To be successful you will bring

  • Certificate IV in workplace Health and Safety or equivalent
  • Deep working knowledge of Work Health & Safety and Workers Compensation legislation preferably from manufacturing or logistics background
  • Confidence in engaging with team members and leaders at all levels and building positive relationships
  • An independent thinker with the ability to clearly articulate complex safety systems, risks and opportunities
  • Flexibility in working from Byron Bay once a fortnight and being available for occasional out of hours training as the site is a 24/7 operation
