This November, we’re lighting up the new Cherub Hall — the heart of Little Creatures Fremantle — with wood-fired grills, rotisseries, pizza ovens, and a menu that celebrates bold flavours and local produce.

 

We’re on the hunt for culinary creatures who can take the heat and keep the good times rolling. We’re looking for a Sous Chef who thrives in the fire and brings calm to the chaos, and a Chef de Partie who’s ready to run their own section with pride — this is your chance to help shape a buzzing, beer-loving kitchen. Think hand-stretched dough, house-cured meats, and seasonal ingredients — all made in-house, all made with love.

What you’ll be doing

 

As a Sous Chef, you’ll:

  • Take a leadership role in the kitchen with precision and pride
  • Support the Head Chef with daily operations, training, and team development
  • Craft menus using seasonal, local ingredients — from house-cured meats to hand-stretched dough
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and consistency

 

As a Chef de Partie, you’ll:

  • Run your own section with pride and precision
  • Craft dishes using seasonal, local ingredients
  • Work with wood-fired grills, rotisseries, and pizza ovens
  • Bring bold flavours and creative flair to the plate

 

What you’ll bring

 

For Sous Chef:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in a fast-paced, produce-driven kitchen
  • Proven leadership skills and a collaborative spirit
  • Expertise across all areas of the kitchen
  • A sharp palate, a cool head under pressure, and a passion for flavour

 

For Chef de Partie:

  • 2-3 years’ experience in a fast-paced, produce-driven kitchen
  • Skills across all areas of the kitchen
  • A sharp knife, a sharper palate, and a love for seasonal ingredients
  • A cool head under pressure and a warm heart for teamwork
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays — when the Freo harbour is alive
