Brewer

At Emersons, we brew and deliver an iconic range of beers and now you have the opportunity to be part of the team that brings them to life. We are currently looking for a Brewer to join the team. This role is based in Dunedin at our “spiritual home” and will report to our Brewing Team Leader.

This role is perfect for someone who loves being hands-on, takes pride in their craft, and wants to be involved in the entire brewing process, from raw materials through to finished beer. Quality, safety and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

You’ll be right at the heart of our production process, helping brew the beers Emersons is famous for. Day to day, you’ll be:

• Running brewhouse operations from start to finish, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Managing fermentations and ensuring beer quality is on point, every time.
• Championing food safety, quality and health & safety standards across the brewery.
• Troubleshooting issues, improving processes and supporting continuous improvement.
• Working closely with a passionate team who back each other and take pride in what they produce.

Some of the Skills You’ll Bring:

• A solid understanding of brewing processes and how a commercial brewery operates.
• Practical brewing experience (commercial experience ideal, but not essential).
• Knowledge of Health and Safety, and Food Safety frameworks.
• A problem-solving mindset, and a love of continuous improvement.
• A team player mentality, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
• A current Forklift licence would be advantageous, but is not essential!
