Grounds Person

We now have an opportunity for a Grounds Person to join the team at Wither Hills in Blenheim. The roles core responsibility will be to ensure all the Front of House grounds are kept to a world class standard that reflects our strength in brand and our focus on safety.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Ground maintenance for the Winery front of house.
• Basic understanding and management of garden irrigation systems.
• Ensuring the winery outside smoko areas are clean, tidy and safe.
• Ensuring all onsite accommodation areas are maintained to a high level and safe.
• Safety & continuous improvement for the site (managing projects).
• Site recycling.

You will use your knowledge and/or passion for lawn, garden and equipment care to ensure a well maintained and safe grounds at all times. You will take pride in what you do and will take initiative to ensure the grounds are the best they can be and are representative of the Wither Hills brand. 

Safety will always be your concern in every activity and you will collaborate with wider Lion departments and individuals to ensure effective delivery.

Some flexibility is required in this role to achieve desired outcomes (e.g. Weather, functions, Marlborough Wine and Food Festival etc.)
