About Us

At Lion, we’re all about making the moment mean more. We brew, market and deliver some of Australia and New Zealand’s most loved brands, while building a culture where people can grow, belong and make a real impact.

The Role

Take broad commercial ownership of Lion’s Wine business, while providing commercial finance support to our Export business across Lion’s core portfolio.

This is a varied role that combines hands-on financial management with strategic partnering. You’ll help shape the longer-term direction of Wine while supporting the performance and growth of our Export business.

  • Own financial performance, forecasting, month-end and planning across Wine, providing clear visibility of performance against targets

  • Partner with senior stakeholders to shape the longer-term Wine strategy, commercial priorities and opportunities

  • Build scenario models, insights and recommendations that support strategic and commercial decision making

  • Co-own wine balancing and support vintage costing, inventory management and the financial management of our wine assets

  • Support the Export business with reporting, forecasting and commercial insights across Lion’s broader portfolio

  • Strengthen financial governance through balance sheet ownership, quarterly attestations and robust financial processes

About You

You’re a commercially curious finance professional who enjoys both the detail and the bigger picture. You’re comfortable working independently, building trusted relationships and moving between hands-on financial work and strategic commercial conversations.

  • Strong technical accounting and financial capability, with experience across forecasting, month-end, planning and balance sheet management

  • Ability to turn financial analysis and complex information into clear commercial insights and recommendations

  • Confidence to work autonomously while building collaborative relationships across a broad stakeholder group

  • Strong business partnering skills with the curiosity to understand commercial drivers and contribute to longer-term strategy

  • Ability to navigate complexity, manage competing priorities and take ownership from analysis through to delivery

  • CA/CPA qualification, or working towards it; FMCG experience is advantageous but not essential
