Packaging Engineer - Leader

The Pride is the largest brewery in New Zealand and home to some of New Zealand’s most iconic and beloved beer and beverage brands.

We are currently looking for a Packaging Engineer to join our team, where you lead a team of Improvement Engineers and deliver ongoing and sustained improvements in Machine Efficiency (ME).

Some of your key responsibilities include:

• Coach and develop a high performing team, ensuring high engagement and accountability
• Manage key relationships and to support improvement in performance
• Partner with the Area Leaders and provide specialist coaching and problem-solving
• Drive overall maintenance system effectiveness and integrity to deliver ME improvements
• Support optimisation of machine performance to drive improvements

Some of the skills you’ll bring:

• Demonstrated skills in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering within Food & Beverage Manufacturing
• Proven project management skills with ability to manage cross-functional teams, and the development and achievement of budgets
• High levels of structured problem-solving, with a solutions focused mindset
• Exceptional stakeholder management
• Strong technical and learning agility to apply new concepts and continuously improve
• A relevant engineering degree is desirable
